I will be the flower that grows between your concrete life
When we fall in love, the brain releases a chemical called phenylethylamine (PEA) which causes our palms to sweet, our hearts to race, and “butterflies” in our stomachs. It’s possible to trigger someone else’s brain to release PEA by looking at them a lot during a conversation, which in turn makes that person more likely to fall in love with you. (Ivillage.com)
I think this makes sense, especially since there tends to be certain guys all the girls fall for and these guys aren’t always the most attractive, the smartest, or even the funniest. They just “have something about them” and I think what it must be is their ability to hold eye contact. They are not afraid of looking at you. Also, while I may be endorsing the above, I am no way bolstering the notion of what people generally assume “falling in love” entails, or that there is only one person for everyone, or that anyone is “meant for” another person. Come on.
